NZFSS International Representative System

Effective april 2000

1) Aim

a) To provide a method of ensuring that, where the NZFSS sponsors (fiscally or in principal) a musher’s entry in an event, the musher has the necessary ability to properly represent New Zealand.

2) Qualification

a) Application for sponsorship must be submitted to the NZFSS in writing and with the support of a NZFSS full member club.

b) In order to gain access to NZFSS sponsorship, the musher shall have placed third (or better) in their class, in the NZFSS Musher Points System, at least twice.

i) Only results in the class(es) relevant to the entry being made may be used in meeting the above requirement.

c) The musher must have raced in events of the same format as that entered, eg if the event is on snow they must have demonstrated competence in the competitive use of a sled.

d) The musher must have completed at least one single or multiple heat event which is comparable to the event being entered.

e) The NZFSS Executive will decide whether the above qualifications have been properly met and issue appropriate documentation to the musher or Race Giving Organisation.
